Knowshon Moreno's Hamstring Good for Return to Practice

Filed under: Broncos, AFC WestENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Running back Knowshon Moreno rejoined the Denver Broncos on Tuesday for practice, the first time he's worked out with the team since straining his hamstring a month ago.

It's still uncertain whether Moreno, the No. 1 tailback on the Broncos' depth chart, will play in Thursday's preseason finale at Minnesota. But his return gives the Broncos a relatively healthy backfield ahead of their Sept. 12 regular season opener at Jacksonville.

Moreno, after participating in the team's walkthrough, told reporters he still had a ways to go to regain all of his stamina and grow used to being hit and banged around. He described himself as "80-some percent" healed.

"It's good to get back out here and get back into the flow of things," Moreno said. He added that in his absence the Broncos have "looked good. And I want to get back out there and help them." Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
