Filed under: Chicago Bears, NFC NorthWhen Mike Martz coached the St. Louis Rams' "Greatest Show on Turf" offense, Isaac Bruce was the team's top receiver.
Now Martz is the Bears' offensive coordinator and Bruce is retired, and Bruce stopped by the Bears' training camp to visit his old coach. Bruce liked what he saw, and said he doesn't see why Martz can't have similar success in Chicago.
"I don't see much missing,'' Bruce said, per Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times. ''I see guys out here who can make plays. [They've] got a quarterback who can wing it. You know, I always like that. You've got guys on the outside who can make plays, who are fast and can run routes without breaking down. When you've got guys like that in this offense, it's always good.''
