Exemption for Vets, But What About for a Bubble?

Filed under: Redskins, NFC EastAll this talk about Camp Shanahan being so much more grueling than the Z-Man's supposed country club the past two summers might not be true. Sure Mike Shanahan's morning practices at Redskins Park run two-plus hours, but he scrubbed Sunday's afternoon "jog-through" in favor of meetings. And today, as camp reached the end of its first week, the head man exempted six of his veterans from the contact portion of practice.

Receiver Joey Galloway, who's in his 16th season, defensive end Phillip Daniels (15th), linebacker London Fletcher (13th), receiver Santana Moss (10th) and running backs Clinton Portis (ninth) and Larry Johnson (eighth) got to watch their teammates sweat in the high heat and humidity of Ashburn, Va.
