Brodie Croyle Recovers, Prepares for Reps Against Packers

Filed under: Chiefs, AFC WestChiefs backup quarterback Brodie Croyle, feeling healthy again after missing much of the last two weeks with an arm injury, says he's looking forward to getting as many repetitions as possible in Thursday night's preseason finale against Green Bay.

"It's always fun to get out there and play," Croyle said in a video posting by The Kansas City Star. "I definitely need to go out there and play a lot and ... I anticipate playing a lot. Being a backup, you've got to be ready to go at any point in time, but this is really where we get most of our reps."

Croyle threw for the first time since hurting his arm on Monday, taking part in team drills, and coach Todd Haley welcomed his return as the backup to Matt Cassel.

"It was good to see him out there," Haley told The Star. "He's one of the guys that has to get better to help us become a good team. To see him out there and get through, with no issues, I thought it was a good sign." Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
