SKANEATELES, N.Y. -- During his eight years as an NFL defensive end and linebacker, Tim Green was routinely referred to as a "Renaissance Man'' because of his diverse pursuits: working on a law degree, writing books, appearing on television. His life, clearly, did not consist solely of football.
So naturally, 17 years after his playing career with the Atlanta Falcons ended, as he stays active in his other pursuits and while he ponders a political career ... he's coaching high school football.
Which raises two questions: why and how?
