Jason Campbell Will Start at Quarterback in Place of Bruce Gradkowski vs. 49ers

Filed under: Raiders, AFC West, NFL InjuriesRaiders quarterback Jason Campbell will start for the first time in a month on Sunday when the Raiders cross the San Francisco Bay to play the 49ers at Candlestick Park.

Campbell replaces Bruce Gradkowski, who managed to throw a few passes Friday but otherwise was unable to practice this week because of a bruised right throwing shoulder. Coach Tom Cable told the Associated Press that Gradkowski will be evaluated again on game day to see if he's healthy enough to serve as Campbell's backup against the 49ers. Otherwise, Kyle Boller will get the call as the No. 2 quarterback.

Gradkowski took over the starting job from Campbell in Week 3. Campbell began the season as the starter but was benched after six quarters of ineffective play. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
