DeSean Jackson, Dunta Robinson Both Injured on Vicious Hit

Filed under: Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, NFL InjuriesEagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson and Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson each had to be helped from the field Sunday, after Robinson delivered a brutal hit to Jackson as he attempted to catch a Kevin Kolb pass over the middle.

As Jackson reached out to try and make the reception, Robinson stepped up and nailed Jackson high, forcing an incompletion. Robinson was flagged for a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty for hitting a defenseless receiver.

Both players stayed on the ground for several minutes as several Eagles and Falcons took a knee near them and trainers attended to them. Eventually, both Jackson and Robinson stood up and were walked into their respective locker rooms with help from the training staffs. The Philadelphia crowd gave Jackson a standing ovation as he headed down the tunnel. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
