Jared Odrick Placed on IR by Dolphins

Filed under: Dolphins, AFC East, NFL InjuriesDAVIE, Fla. -- One day after hinting that they were going to monitor an injury to rookie defensive end Jared Odrick's left foot before making any rash decisions, the Miami Dolphins placed the first-round pick on injured reserve, ending his 2010 season.

The 6-foot-5, 304-pound Odrick was getting closer to returning from the right fibula hairline fracture he suffered during Miami's season-opening win at Buffalo, when he hurt his other leg at the end of Wednesday's practice.

Odrick had earned the Dolphins' starting job at right defensive end in training camp, but Tony McDaniel took most of those reps in last Sunday's overtime win at Green Bay. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
