Roy Halladay, welcome to October immortality.
Taking a seat next to Don Larsen, the Yankee who threw a perfect game in the 1956 World Series, the Phillies' ace threw the second no-hitter in postseason history Wednesday night.
You wouldn't know it by how Halladay carved up the Cincinnati Reds like a holiday turkey, but the seven-time All-Star hadn't pitched in the playoffs before the Division Series opener at Philadelphia's soggy ballpark.
"It's surreal, it really is," Halladay said after the 4-0 victory.
Out of 104 pitches, Halladay made only one mistake that mattered: A full-count cut fastball to Jay Bruce was too low, yielding a walk with two outs in the fifth inning.
