Owen Daniels won't play Sunday against Jacksonville; Andre Johnson will.Daniels, the Houston Texans' Pro Bowl tight end who returned this season after missing the last half of last season with a torn ACL, has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Jacksonville because of a hamstring injury, Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Friday.
"It's been a tough process (for Daniels)," Kubiak said, calling Daniels a "great kid who's worked his tail off. . . . He's doing everything he can to get back on the field."
Daniels, who has 16 receptions for 200 yards this season, made the Pro Bowl in 2008 and was on pace for career highs in receptions and yards last season before sustaining his injury. He finished last season with 40 receptions for 519 yards and five touchdowns in eight games, and after returning this season, he has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.
