Jaguars Will Face Giants' Pass Rush Without Starting LT Eugene Monroe

The Jaguars will be without another offensive tackle Sunday.

Eugene Monroe, the Jaguars' starting left tackle, failed to pass a baseline concussion test on Friday morning and has been ruled out against the New York Giants Sunday, according to the team.

Also, Jaguars wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker was limited in practice Friday with an ankle injury and is questionable for Sunday.

"We'll see how he responds in the next 48 hours," Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reported Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio as saying.

Ganguli wrote that Monroe's test result came as a "shock" to the Jaguars.

Kevin Haslam, a rookie free agent, could play left tackle Sunday, as could recently-acquired Guy Whimper. The Giants feature one of the NFL's best pass-rushing tandems: right end Osi Umenyiora and left end Justin Tuck.

Del Rio said the starting left tackle will be a game-time decision.
