Prior to Saturday's Air Guard 400, 12th place Clint Bowyer held a 117-point advantage over 13th place Ryan Newman for the final spot in the playoff that begins next weekend in New Hampshire. Bowyer did enough Saturday to make the field ahead of Newman.
The 10 races in the Chase pit the 12 drivers with the highest regular season points against each other, while racing in the standard field of 43 cars.
