Panthers Fans Upset With Latest Promotion Aimed at Opposing Fans

A couple of weeks ago we showed you a Florida Panthers ticket selling promotion that was aimed at fans of the Montreal Canadiens, inviting them to South Florida to see their team play. It was an odd promotion given that they were offering packages to visiting fans, but somewhat understandable because 1) The Panthers are struggling at the gate, and 2) The Panthers aren't afraid to go outside of the proverbial box when it comes to putting butts in the seats.

The team is at it again, and the latest promotion -- this time geared toward fans of the Philadelphia Flyers -- has Panthers fans a little irked. The reason: Mike Richards' hit on David Booth last season -- a legal hit at the time -- resulting in the first of two concussions the Panthers forward would suffer during the season.

Donny Rivette runs Panthers blog Litter Box Cats, and was fuming mad at the promotion given the events of last season.
